Chick's Six! {Photoshoot pics and Giveaway}

Chick and I went on our photo shoot date last weekend (we went late on purpose, but not necessarily sooo late on purpose...her birthday was in January).  At any rate, we had a great time.

We went to Legion Park & Arboretum in Everett.  It was lovely there, and the weather was perfect.

Chick picked her first outfit: jeans, and a cute top (and a backpack that criss-crossed in front...that was important). We took the most pictures in that outfit, I think, but she hadn't warmed up as much. So most of my "favorites" are in her dress.

At any rate, when it was time to change her clothes, she got to play on the playground for a while.  There was another cute, little 6-yr-old there and they became fast friends.  Sadly, the girl was from out of town and just visiting for a party.

After that we finished the pictures (and she was "loosened up" so that her personality was showing through much more).

Here are my favorites:

2.DSCN8928r (512x640)

3.DSCN8974 (512x640)

4.DSCN9015 (427x640)

5. DSCN9023 (512x640)

6.  This is so Chick....

7. DSCN9034 (512x640)

DSCN9035 (512x640)
8.  This one makes me think that she's stepping into Narnia or Wonderland...
somewhere magical.  It feels "fairy tale" to me.

9. DSCN9039 (512x640)

10. DSCN9040 (512x640)

11. DSCN9046 (512x640)

12DSCN9047 (512x640)

13.
DSCN9074r (640x512)

14. DSCN9095 (427x640)

After the pictures were done we headed to Coldstone Creamery and got some ice cream.
Chick got cotton candy ice cream with white chocolate chips and oreo cookies.  In a cone.
I got cheesecake ice cream with strawberries and graham cracker.  I think hers was better....

This being Chick, there are a lot of "outtakes."  Chick likes to gallop, and make faces, and make the letter "K" with her body....  We also found a cool pattern in a tree, and beauty in everyday objects.  Love that kid.

Hi paige, it's your cousin jill. I like numbers five and six. Five looks like she's being mischievous and six is just plain adorable!

I narrowed it down to 2...#10, because it's just a cute portrait and #3, because she looks like an Irish fairy in a tree.

And, hey, want to get together sometime between the fifth and the ninth of August?

Marianne J said: She is a very pretty girl. I can't decide between 6, 10, 11, 12. They really all are nice. I wish I could capture my kids like that. As soon as they see a camera they get these fake smiles plaster on.

I like two pics and can't decide which I like better: No. 2 I love her serene expression, and No. 7 in the tree, cool pic with the back lighting.

Hmmmm....okay, in order: 6, 2, 4, 12. In some I like her smile, and in others I like the back ground and outfit. The smile in 6 is pretty perfect though. 11 is adorable too, I just don't love the background as much as some of the others. Great job taking pictures!

Actually, maybe 12 is my second place.

I love her smile on 10 and 12. They are all very cute for different reasons, it's hard to pick.

I love them all! Hmmm... My top 3 are 7, 10, and 12. If you could only print one, I'd pick 12.
You have a very pretty girl!

Grandma Nebeker is a little late in the day but I choose 10*1*7....I could add more. I am very impressed that you captured so many of her "Chick" looks.

I like the personality shown in the collage. Compiling them gives insight into her happy and energetic disposition. And if that's true (I've never met her in person), then you've done well capturing it.
