I'd say No for that age. My general rule of thumb for anything (books, movies, etc) is that kids should be as old as the characters. This movie definitely fits that rule.
I had never seen a Zac Efron movie before, but after this one, I too have a small crush on him : ) And yes, Lia, Ned was the one that had us laughing throughout. I thought he was totally hilarious & I still have his lines running through my head ("Vampire wouldn't tell, Cyborg wouldn't know.")
