Just after my anniversary trip I did something that I've been wanting to do (but wasn't sure if it was a good idea) for at least a year.
I got a perm.
My SIL's friend and stylist gave me a haircut, and I mentioned that I was considering it, and she thought it was a good idea. She's the third stylist that I'd mentioned it to, and she was the first to be enthusiastic. I'm so glad that I listened to her.
For days afterwards I'd walk past a mirror and think, "I'm never going without permed hair again!"
After looking at the anniversary pictures (when I'd actually spent some time on my hair) it's confirmed.
And do you know what's even better? NO ONE has said, "did you get a perm?" I've gotten lots of compliments, but people seem genuinely surprised if I mention that it's permed.
Kristie did a GREAT job, and it looks very natural. It looks like my hair on my best "scrunched it up and spent lots of time on it" day. But it doesn't go kinda flat after a couple of hours. And I don't have to spend lots of time on it. And it still feels healthy.
And it was enjoyable getting it done because Kristie is a great gal. She didn't even act like I was weird to not use shampoo. And she must have a good aura, because Monkey took to her RIGHT AWAY and was telling her life story and touching her earrings and just being BFFs from the very start. Which NEVER happens.
And she's reasonably priced, and she'll come TO YOUR HOME!
Sooo, long story short, I love my hair. If you want to love your hair too, then you should contact Kristie. She's on Facebook (Kristie's Color Garden), or you can contact me and I'll give you her phone or email.

Sounds awesome...though I doubt the possibility of my hair accepting a perm.
I think it takes a while to find a hairdresser who KNOWS WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT and that can make all of the difference.
I want my hair permed now! But I don't think I could look as pretty as you.
I honestly just thought you were blessed with curly hair.
Um. We can't have a post about a hairdo without a PICTURE! ;o)
