Sometimes that just happens. Hopefully you can put it behind you and not let it get you too down. I have had both good and bad experiences with epidurals, and I would imagine an epidural to prep for surgery is probably a whole different experience than a regular epidural for labor.

Anyway. I'm so glad that they are here and happy for you that you don't have to be so uncomfortable any more! And I think it's so crazy that they were born just a few days after I saw you!!

How long are they in the NICU for?nikkohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00513640054479376205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7778917442743595251.post-46209963930070265212012-07-06T14:52:04.957-07:002012-07-06T14:52:04.957-07:00Wow! So happy that they are healthy and that you get to spend recovery cuddling them in the quiet NICU. Looking back I can now say that I loved the NICU. It not only helped sleep train Charlie, but I was able to get rest as well (once they drugged me). Hope that you continue to recover well! Such sweet little girls!Rachel DeFreesehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05753382705759637873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7778917442743595251.post-48842578394696004602012-07-05T23:35:55.002-07:002012-07-05T23:35:55.002-07:00I loved hearing the birth story! When I heard you'd had a c-section, my first thought was, "I feel so bad for Paige because I know she had a birth plan and a c-section was totally not part of it!" C-sections are pretty awful, but I don't have anything to compare to. I sometimes mourn the fact that I've never had a vaginal birth, but then I get over it and don't really think about it. I can totally relate to not being clear on all the details after the babies were born because I've always passed out for at least an hour while I'm getting stitched up. D and E are beautiful and I can't wait to meet them and hold them. The placenta didn't gross me out, but I did tell Jon not to look at the screen when I was looking at it--I agree, it is interesting. Congratulations!

Oh, and how do you get to an 8 without feeling like you're dying? I guess I am just a wimp when it comes to contractions.kirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03914739679917735919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7778917442743595251.post-88237169371288965572012-07-05T22:30:29.692-07:002012-07-05T22:30:29.692-07:00You look so sweet holding little D!
Bummer about ...You look so sweet holding little D!

Bummer about the c-section; however, I do know someone who had the first of her twins vaginally and then a c-section for the other. It stank. At least you got your little sweeties out of it!

My first birth was the crappy epidural one. I felt great after my "natural" babies...as long as I was taking ibuprophen.Annaliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00150221203456781149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7778917442743595251.post-9361946404372278912012-07-05T15:22:32.161-07:002012-07-05T15:22:32.161-07:00I have to agree whole heartedly. First definitly necessary- doc tried everything including a version to no avail. Other two I was bummed that they would not let me try vaginal...but I had a T cut on my uterine wall. In the end it just matters that you all are alive and well, and no sense second guessing what could have been. Love the pics and the story was not too long in my opinion. I am wondering where my cute nickname is though.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14261684431488951926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7778917442743595251.post-67111135417554560332012-07-05T14:20:56.997-07:002012-07-05T14:20:56.997-07:00Oh wow! But at least the girls are here safe and sound. I hope the twinsies will get to come home soon!!Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08886014005014094709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7778917442743595251.post-29060764858389282662012-07-05T14:20:54.185-07:002012-07-05T14:20:54.185-07:00Wow! I'm sorry your birth plan didn't go as you hoped it would, and I'm especially sorry that you felt that the c-section was not required! Nonetheless, I'm so excited about your new little girls and I am happy that everyone is doing well!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01434969386724574868noreply@blogger.com
